Ag on Tumblr

これはかつて浪人時代、予備校の先生がおっしゃっていたことをプレゼンに当てはめているだけなのですが、プレゼンで聴衆の方に満足してもらうには

・聴衆がすでに知っていること５０％
・言われれば「聞いたことがあるな」思い出すこと３０％
・初めて聞く話２０％

というバランスで話すのが経験的にもいいと思っています。

「慣れない人はどうしても「知らない話」ばかりをしたくなる」

私自身もそうでしたし、こうした気持ちになるのは当然です。なぜなら、事前に聴衆の人たちが何を知っているか、わからないからです。

登壇して前で喋る以上、「みんなが100％知っていることだけを２時間喋りまくるのだけは、避けたい」と思うものです。なるべくみんなの知らないこと、なるべく聞いたこともない話、なるべく新情報を話したい。さすればみんな感心してくれるであろうし、役にも立つであろう、と、こう考えます。

しかし、実際に聞く側になってみると、知りもしないことばかりを２時間聞かされるのは、とても苦痛です。だいたい30分以後は、上の空で頷くだけになっています。聞く側にもプライドの問題があるため、講演者の話をさえぎって「もっと私たちの知っている話をしてください」などとは言えません。
